The following people support the Call for Ethical Clinical Trials in Developing Countries as members of the Committee of Recommendation.  

Professor Dupuis (Netherlands)
Professor Heleen Dupuis is a member and First Vice-President of the Senate of the Dutch Parliament (States General). As Professor of Medical Ethics she was a member of the Faculty of Medicine of Leiden University. She was a member of the Health Council of the Netherlands and the Education Council of the Netherlands. Ms Dupuis sits on various committees and supervisory boards, carries out many additional functions and gives lectures and postgraduate continuing education courses. She has written 10 books and 225 articles.
 
 
Professor Garattini (Italy)
Professor Silvio Garattini is the director of the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research in Italy. He has a Diploma in Chemistry, a degree in Medicine and was a lecturer in Chemotherapy and Pharmacology. Previously, he was a Deputy Professor at the Milan University Institute of Pharmacology. Prof. Garattini has acted in various Italian and international organizations, including the Italian National Research Council, the National Health Council, the Committee for Italian Research Policy and the Committee for Proprietary Medicinal Products of the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products. Professor Garattini is among the most cited Italian scientists in international scientific literature.
 
Professor Temmerman (Belgium)
Professor Marleen Temmerman is a senator in the Belgian Parliament and President of the Belgian Senate Commission of Foreign Affairs. She is a Doctor of Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics and has a Diploma in Tropical Medicine, a Master’s in Public Health and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Ms Temmerman is the head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at GhentUniversityHospital, a Professor at the Urology and Gynaecology faculty department at GhentUniversity and the director of the International Centre for Reproductive Health. Professor Temmerman has written and co-written over 300 international scientific publications and is a member of numerous national and international organizations, foundations and scientific communities. She is a reviewer and editor of over fifteen scientific journals and lectures at congresses and on university courses and postgraduate continuing education courses for doctors and midwives.
